Sticks are already nested to the stock lengths in the LUMBER tab, so a 6x6 at 8' and a 6x6 at 10' are separate lines — the grey line under each item is what those sticks get cut into, and FIND rings that member on the framing plan. Hardware and fasteners are on the HARDWARE tab.

FIND
One block per assembly, in build order — drag a block by its handle to reorder and the tool remembers. QTY is how many identical pieces; the numbered boxes are there to tick off as you cut. OUT OF names which stick in that section's pile the piece comes from, so the pile and the list agree — the pack itself is on NESTING. DONE collapses a block. Nothing here is re-counted from the model; it is the same sticks the nest packed, regrouped.

First-fit-decreasing pack against the stock lengths declared in the model. Cuts needing an angle or a notch carry the instruction in amber under their pattern. Add a length to stock: to see whether it beats the current pack. This is the yard's reading of the list — the saw's reading is on WORK LIST.

One line per section this model actually cuts. Species, grade and treatment come from the lumber stock file (LUMBER in the editor's document picker); STICKS is the cut list's count of boards before nesting. Anything amber is a value the yard still needs to confirm — the LVL grade especially: 2.0E is assumed and the stiffness checks on HDR and INNER-TRACK depend on it.

Every beam at its worst span (uniform load plus any hung reaction inside that span, simple-span) and every joist field mid-span. RATIO is span over deflection; OF L/360 is how much of the code minimum is used up — 100% is the limit, under 75% clears the L/480 comfort line too. BENDING is stress against the section's allowable Fb from the lumber stock. Green clears both; amber is code-legal but past L/480 or over 90% bending; red fails. Where a joist field cantilevers, the span shown is the BACK-SPAN and the figures are for it: the overhang adds load to the drop beam it crosses (that is in the beam's plf) but its tip deflection is not checked here — keep every overhang inside a quarter of the back-span and the tip follows.
* No repetitive-member bonus is taken. NDS 4.3.9 lets sawn 2x lumber claim 1.15 × Fb when THREE or more members ≤ 4" thick sit ≤ 24" apart and share load through sheathing — joists at 16" o.c. qualify, a 2-ply beam does not (two plies, not three), and LVL never does. So the joist rows above are ~13% conservative; the beam rows are exactly as stated.

BASE is the Simpson base that post stands in — green where the model names it, amber where the catalog picked it. A post listed twice (P3 ·) has two pockets — one row per member, grouped under the one cut length. Red = under 2" of lip left for the bolts.

LAYERS
{{ planOpenEl }} {{ planLabelEl }} {{ planLocate.label }} {{ planDimEl }}

LAYERS
VIEW
{{ s.t }} {{ isoDimEl }}
{{ isoNote }}. That ordering is what stops the impossible-drawing effect — a single long beam can't be both in front of one post and behind another, so every beam is cut at its supports first.
The same solid list as the SVG drawing, lit and depth-buffered rather than painter-sorted — so no member is ordered by hand and the impossible-drawing problem cannot arise here at all. Drag to orbit; release near one of the 14 snap views and it eases in (hold Alt to stop it). Right-click or VIEW for the snap menu, double-click or Z for extents, P for perspective. The camera is remembered per model revision. GLB/OBJ export is the next phase. Backdrop planes and buried-face hiding are deliberately dropped in 3D — both are painter's-algorithm scaffolding.
LAYERS
{{ orthoLabelEl }}
{{ orthoNote }}. These are not separate drawings — each one is the same list of solid members seen down a different axis, so a member cannot appear in one view and be missing from another.

Reactions are simple tributary with a 1.25 continuity factor at interior supports — approximate, and deliberately on the conservative side. Anything near the allowable deserves a stamped engineer, not this tool.

Every task here is derived from the model in the order the building goes together — edit the model and the list re-derives. Your check marks and notes are stored per model in this browser, keyed to the task, so they survive a reload and a revision bump. EXPORT writes them to a JSON file; IMPORT merges one back per task, newest write winning, so carrying the file between machines never costs you the newer side. Findings that name a member are quoted on that member's row: the footing INFO for a post is the spec for pouring it. COPY LOG puts the whole thing on the clipboard.

Findings that name a member also appear on that member's row in BUILD LOG, where you can check it off and record what you did. Click any finding that names a model line to jump the editor there and select it. COPY puts one finding on the clipboard as plain text; COPY ALL takes the whole list. These checks exist because each one caught a real mistake: cross-notched posts, oversized vestigial beams, phase-order breaks, unsupported joists, stair openings under code width.
